Ghana confirmed her superiority over their Nigerian counterparts when they beat them 1-0 in the second leg of an International friendly Hockey match played at the Theodosia Okoh National Hockey Pitch in Accra.
The match which was an initiative of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) for African countries and meant to prepare the teams for the All African Games scheduled for Kenya in July, saw the Ghanaian select side winning the first leg on Thursday by the same margin.
Emmanuel Nartey was the marksman on the second leg while his counterpart Elikem Akaba made victory certain for the Ghanaians as they netted their goals in the 12th and 10th minutes of the two-leg affair.
Mr Kester Ajao, the Ghanaian Team Manager, cautioned his side against being complacent and urged them to take their training sessions seriously so as to make Ghana proud by winning the Gold Medal at the Kenya Games.
He called for massive support from corporate bodies and institutions to help in the development of the sport.
