The Enchi College of Education (ENCHICO) has held its first congregation ceremony for the four-year Bachelor of Education programme introduced in the 2018/2019 academic year for 315 students.
The ceremony which was held at the intuition's auditorium brought together many educationists, traditional leaders and local authorities.
The college's principal, Philip Ntaa, speaking at the ceremony touted the success of the college over the years.

Speaking under the theme, "Repositioning teacher education in Ghana: meeting 21st Century needs of the new teacher," he urged the graduates to be critical thinkers, creative, continuous learners, exemplary leaders, good communities, and above all problem solvers in the classroom.

The principal also indicated that despite the college's striving to become a leading center for teaching and research the college is constrained by several challenges.

He listed issues including the deplorable road and pavements on campus, inadequate lecture halls, inadequate halls of residence, abandoned ongoing GETFund projects (administration block and staff accommodation), overaged buses for supported teaching in schools activities and overaged operational vehicles.
He therefore appealed to the government to come to their aid to bridge the college's infrastructural deficit.

On his part, the Western North Regional Director of Education, Seth Boateng speaking on behalf of Stephen Kwaku Owusu, Deputy Director-General of Management Services, assured the graduates that the management of Ghana Education Service is ready to welcome them.
He also added that all other eligible graduates of all Colleges of Education in Ghana will also be considered into the schools help achieve the mandate of making quality education accessible to all Ghanaian children.

Also, the Deputy Director in charge of the College of Education, at the Ministry of Education, Prof Yayra Yao Professor Yayra Yao Dzakadzie commended the chiefs in the area for contributing to the success of the college.
