The Black Stars will get to know their opponents for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers later on Thursday, July 13.
The official draw for the qualifiers will take place in Ivory Coast during the 45th CAF General Assembly.
The Black Stars are seeking their fifth appearance at the global showpiece after being at the 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2022 editions.
Ghana has been placed in Pot 2 for the 2026 World Cup African qualifiers and could face Nigeria, Morocco, Algeria, Senegal or Tunisia in the group stage of the qualifying series.
FIFA unveiled the pots for the Africa qualifiers on July 2, with the group draw to be conducted on July 12.
Alongside Ghana in Pot 2 are Burkina Faso, South Africa, Cape Verde, DR Congo, Guinea, Zambia, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
According to the draw rule, there will be nine groups of six teams with all the group winners qualifying for the World Cup to be jointly hosted by, the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.
The four best runners-up will compete in a mini-tournament and the winner will make an intercontinental play-off.
