In her quest to reach out to a larger audience and redefine her artistry, promising Ghanaian artiste, Mercy Nana Efua 'Renner', has proven her mettle on a 3-piece EP titled 'Never Stop Try'.
The EP tells her story - the story of her struggle in a competitive environment. She mentions how her unrelenting spirit takes her closer to her target.
On the 'Never Stop Try' EP, Renner drifts a bit for her usual hardcore reggae and dance style and gets into other afro-induced sounds.
The first song on the body of work which is the title track of the EP 'Never Stop Try' was produced by Wakayna. In this song, Renner talks about how rocky her music journey has been, motivating herself of imminent success.
Produced by Jaemally, is 'Ma Lova', is a fusion of Afrobeats and Amapiano laced with Ga and English languages. This is track 2 on the album.
Wakayna also shows his versatility on a danceable tune on Track 3 titled 'Gerraway'. It is an Afrobeats vibe that targets haters. Renner shows confidence in her abilities and sends out a message to detractors who may not be enthused about her craft.
Renner, a Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste, is fluid in experimenting with other genres of music.
According to her manager, Iddriss Yussif, her management is bend on elevating her craft to a global standard.
In 2022, she had an international collaboration with Jamaican music duo, Chakademus & Pliers. They did a refix of 'Young Gyal Business'.
She also has works with Ghanaian artistes such as Konkarah Jahvybz, Wakayna, Eye Judah, among others.
