Bayport Savings and Loans PLC, a leading financial services provider in the Savings and Loans sector in Ghana, has implemented an Information Security Management System (ISMS) to comply with the Cyber and Information Security Directive issued by the Bank of Ghana in 2018.
The organization has successfully obtained ISO27001 certification for its information security management system, awarded by Certi-Trust, a global certification body specializing in information security, cybersecurity, and privacy protection.
ISO27001 is among the world's most respected standards for information security management systems. It outlines the requirements an ISMS must meet to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data owned or handled by an organization.
Conforming to ISO27001 indicates that an organization has established a system to manage risks related to data security, adhering to best practices and principles of this international standard.
“This certification underscores Bayport Savings and Loans PLC's dedication and capability to manage information securely, providing reliable and trustworthy services to its customers, partners, and stakeholders.
It also enhances the company's reputation and competitiveness in the market, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations,” the company said in a statement.
