The Ministry of Youth and Sports has extended its heartfelt condolences for the passing of a former Youth and Sports Minister, Dr Mustapha Ahmed.
In a press statement, the Ministry acknowledged Dr Ahmed's dedicated service during his tenure as the Sports Minister, despite serving the shortest period in the Sports Ministry.

The Ministry conveys its deepest condolences to the family and assures them that their prayers and thoughts are with them during this difficult period of grief.
The former Youth and Sports Minister passed away on Wednesday, February 7 at the age of 63.

Dr. Ahmed served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ayawaso North Constituency from 2001 to 2016.
He was appointed the Youth and Sports Minister by former President John Mahama in 2015 which he held on until January 2016 when he was replaced by Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye in a cabinet reshuffle.
