A new plant-based milk called BAMnut Milk has been introduced to Ghana by WhatIF Foods, a company dedicated to promoting sustainable and healthy living.
It is crafted from 100% locally-sourced Bambara beans, known for their nutritional richness. Sourced directly from smallholder farmers in Northern Ghana, BAMnut Milk offers a creamy, lactose-free alternative to traditional dairy products.
Unlike many plant-based alternatives, BAMnut Milk contains only three natural ingredients: Bambara beans, coconut oil, and water. Free from artificial additives like sweeteners, stabilizers, and preservatives, BAMnut Milk stands out for its nutrient density. Packed with dietary fiber, calcium, vitamin D, and B12, it caters to a variety of dietary needs and preferences.
BAMnut Milk's production process aligns with principles of supporting local farmers and promoting sustainability. The Bambara bean's resilience to drought and ability to thrive in degraded soils make it an environmentally-friendly choice. Through collaborations with over 6,500 registered farmers across 50 communities in Northern Ghana, WhatIF Foods is fostering agrobiodiversity and promoting regenerative agricultural practices.
In essence, the launch of BAMnut Milk presents consumers with a healthier and environmentally-friendly choice that supports local farmers and promotes sustainable agriculture.
