English Championship winners, Leicester City, have triggered the €17 million buy option for winger Fatawu Issahaku.
The Ghana International has had a remarkable season for the foxes on loan from Portuguese side, Sporting Lisbon, this season.
Fatawu’s 13 league assists for Leicester, makes him the club’s second most assist provider, behind Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Sporting Lisbon manager, Ruben Amorim, confirmed the imminent deal.
“We will make money. Talented players who don't adapt here will move to other clubs and give us added value, it's our system", Amorim said.
Sporting signed Fatawu in 2022, from Ghanaian side, Steadfast FC.
However, his time at the club wasn’t what both parties had hoped for, resulting in his loan move to Leicester at the start of the 2023/2024 season.
Leicester booked promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, after being relegated to the Championship in the 2022/2023 season.
