Former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), recently paid a courtesy call on the Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, during his visit to London.
In a statement on his Facebook page, the former President said, “We had a wonderful conversation, and he fondly reminisced on his time living in Ghana.”
He added that Khalifa Ahmad also offered prayers for peaceful and successful elections in December.
Mr. Mahama's visit highlights the continues bond between the NDC leader and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, emphasising the importance of unity and peace ahead of the upcoming elections.
“I am grateful for his kind words and blessings. Let’s all work towards a peaceful and united Ghana,” Mr Mahama stated.
