The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has conducted the draw for the qualifying series for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The competition which has been scheduled to start on December 21, 2025 and end on January 18, 2026, will take place in Morocco.
Ghana will begin its journey for an 11th consecutive AFCON appearance in September 2024.
The Black Stars have been placed in Group F, where they will face Sudan, managed by former Ghana captain and coach Kwasi Appiah, alongside Angola and Nigeria.
Defending champions, Cote d’Ivoire, will start their campaign in Group G, competing against Zambia, Sierra Leone, and Chad.
The 2023 AFCON silver medalists, Nigeria, have been paired with Benin, Libya, and Rwanda in Group I, while the 2021 champions, Senegal, will contend with Burkina Faso, Malawi, and Burundi in Group L.
Host nation Morocco is in Group B with Gabon, the Central African Republic, and Lesotho. Meanwhile, the 2019 winners, Algeria, have been drawn in Group E with Equatorial Guinea, Togo, and Liberia.
