Ghana international Joseph Paintsil was heavily involved on Wednesday night in LA Galaxy's win over Colorado Rapids.
Galaxy sealed a 3-2 win over their rivals on matchday 25 of the Major League Soccer (MLS) with Paintsil scoring a goal and setting up another.
Diego Fagundez opened the scoring for the home side after just 12 minutes played at the Dignity Health Sports Park.
Paintsil restored the lead 25 minutes later, tapping into the net from close range after a square pass from Gabriel Pec to make it 2-1 after Kevin Cabral had scored for Colorado.
The Ghanaian then went on to set up former Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig to extend the lead for Galaxy.
The away side scored late into the first half to make it 3-2.
The return from recess saw no goals despite good attempts from both teams as Galaxy walked home with all three points.
With his two-goal involvements last night, Paintsil has now directly had a hand in 12 goals in 21 appearances, scoring seven and registering five assists.
