The spokesperson for Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), Fiifi Boafo, has lauded the New Patriotic Party (NPP) running mate for his effectiveness and public appeal.
According to Mr Boafo, NAPO is recognised as a dedicated and result-driven individual capable of achieving significant progress.
In an interview with Citi FM on Wednesday, September 18, Boafo highlighted NAPO’s strong work ethic, adding that he has gained the trust of many through his consistent performance.
He mentioned that NAPO’s contributions have positioned him as a key figure within the NPP and among the Ghanaian public.
Mr Boafo also noted that NAPO's approachable nature has endeared him to those he interacts with, further enhancing his reputation as a reliable leader. He stressed that the NPP’s choice of NAPO as their running mate underscores the party’s focus on results and efficiency.
He concluded by affirming that NAPO’s track record of delivering on promises makes him a standout candidate, one who resonates positively with Ghanaians seeking progress and leadership.
“The feedback you get from the people is not what some people want us to believe because this is a man [NAPO] that the people perceive as someone who is very hardworking and will give you results when he is given the opportunity.”
“The perception out there when NAPO is engaging the people is that this is a guy who will deliver you results," he stated.
Fiifi Boafo further compared Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang. He argued that NAPO's record during his tenure as Minister of Education stands out significantly.
According to him, Dr Prempeh’s accomplishments in the ministry surpass those of Professor Opoku-Agyemang, reinforcing his effectiveness and leadership qualities.
He emphasised that NAPO's achievements make him a more capable candidate in addressing Ghana’s educational needs.
“I can ask you today what is the NAPO story as a Minister of Education and I am sure that it won’t take you a microsecond to say that this is the guy who led the team to implement the Free SHS policy and I am very sure if I should ask you about Professor Jane Opoku Agyemang as Education Minister, it will take you a while to put up something.
“Should the same question be posed to the public, the positives that will be said about NAPO will be enormous and the same cannot be said about Jane," he added.
