A member of the FixTheCountry movement, who was arrested by the police at the Kotoka International Airport, has been discharged.
Ralph St. Williams, also known as 'Fellow Ghanaians', was released on Thursday night.
This was revealed by the Constitutional Rights and Policy Advisor for the Democracy Hub, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, during an interview on JoyFM's Super Morning Show on September 20.
“Yes, Ralph was released as of last night. He was not charged with any offence,” he said.
Mr Baker-Vormawor stated that some individuals dressed in security apparel invaded the home of Fellow Ghanaians' parents and confiscated their mobile devices.
He added that they have been forced to move from their home for security reasons.
The Constitutional Rights and Policy Advisor said the group has since petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
'Fellow Ghanaians' was arrested at the KIA while en route to Kumasi ahead of the Hub's SayNoToGalamsey protest in the Ashanti region.
Although the police have not explained the arrest, the group believes it is an attempt to prevent their upcoming protest on September 21 against illegal mining.
