Ghanaian artiste Sefadzi Abena Amesu, popularly known as Sefa, has revealed that she has left the Black Avenue Muzik label which is owned by musician and entrepreneur D-Black.
The songstress made this revelation in an interview with Accra 100.5 FM on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
While talking about D-Black's record label not giving her 'Vibration' song the necessary push, she revealed that "I no longer work with Black Avenue."
When she was asked when she left the label, the 'E Choke' singer said she has been off "for some time."
“First of all, my contract ended. You know I have always said that when you are working with people or people that you consider a family, it's always a roller coaster, things happen, a lot of things come in, so you know there have been some business misunderstandings and all that," she said.
Sefa, who was signed to D-Black's record label about seven years, produced songs such as 'Fever', 'E Choke', 'Shuga', 'Player', 'Vibration', among others.
In 2022, she won the Afrobeats Song of the Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with the song 'E Choke'.
In the meantime, she is pursuing an independent career and has released 'All Over', a new song that features Camidoh.
