Asante Kotoko Head Coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has justified his team’s shock defeat to Legon Cities on Wednesday night in the Ghana Premier League.
The Royals beat the Porcupine Warriors 2-1 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in the outstanding match week six clash.
The loss was Asante Kotoko’s first of the season and Legon Cities’ first win of the campaign after eight matches.
Frustrated Asante Kotoko fans have expressed anger over why their club lost to Legon Cities, who were at the bottom of the table with just two points before the game.
However, Prosper Ogum stated that losing to bottom-of-the-table clubs is not new.
“It happens all over the world. He who is down fears no fall. It was an exciting game, a game of two halves.
“It is not the best way to lose, especially if you look at the way we played in the second half; it shouldn't have happened, but then it has.
“We just have to put ourselves together and move on.”
Asante Kotoko will host Heart of Lions in Obuasi on Sunday while Legon Cities take on Young Apostles in Accra a day later.
