Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo had a big role in Bournemouth's win over Manchester City in the Premier League.
Semenyo scored the opening goal in the 2-1 win at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, November 2, on matchday 10.
Coming on the back of two unbeaten games in the league, the Cherries had a bright start to the fixture with the Ghanaian scoring inside nine minutes to give them the lead.
Milos Kerkez burst forward on the left flank before picking out Semenyo with a low cross. The forward created space for himself with a nice turn before his low shot into the bottom corner beat Ederson.
Justin Kluivert should have doubled the lead for the home side midway through the first half but the Dutchman fluffled his lines from close range.
Bournemouth had several opportunities to double their lead before the break but couldn't make the most out of it.
After the return from recess, Andoni Iraola's men continued to pile more pressure on the Cityzens.
Their efforts paid off in the 64th minute when Evanilson scored to make it 2-0. Semenyo played a pass into the path of Kerkez who sent a cross into the path of the Brazilian.
Josko Gvardiol pulled one back for Pep Guardiola's men but it was only a consolation as they game ended 2-1 in Bournemouth's favour.
With his goal against City, Semenyo has now scored four Premier League goals this season, more than any Bournemouth player.
