Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana, Maher Kheir, was celebrated at the 5th edition of the Humanitarian Awards Global in Accra, receiving the prestigious “Outstanding Voice of Impact Ambassador” award.
The accolade recognises his significant contributions to both Ghana and Lebanon through impactful economic, cultural, humanitarian, and social initiatives.
The event, themed “Celebrating Changemakers,” gathered an esteemed audience, including members of the diplomatic community, corporate leaders, celebrated individuals, NGOs, and volunteer leaders.
The annual awards honour individuals and organisations making extraordinary contributions to society.
In his acceptance speech, Ambassador Kheir expressed gratitude for the recognition, dedicating the award to everyone who continues to support humanitarian aid efforts for Lebanon during challenging times.

He emphasised, “Peace is the pillar of development for any society and must be protected at all costs.”
He also called on individuals and organisations to champion humanitarian projects in Ghana, believing such efforts can catalyze socio-economic progress in the country.
This year’s event brought together changemakers from 23 countries, celebrating diverse contributions across categories such as Health Worker of the Year, Humanitarian of the Year, Outstanding Civil Servant, Outstanding SDGs Advocates, Outstanding Philanthropist, and Volunteer Group of the Year.
Ambassador Kheir’s award highlights his dedication to humanity and his unwavering commitment to fostering positive change in society.
