The Ghana Police Service has arrested four persons for allegedly stealing some building materials procured for the construction of Agenda 111 Hospital at Awutu Bereku in the Central Region.
The arrest took place in collaboration with some members of the Awwutu Bereku community, yesterday, 10th December 2024.
The suspects were arrested following the interception of a Man Diesel truck, with registration number GT 8715-Z, driven by one of the suspects identified as Kwabena Ayamba, loaded with assorted building materials.
Police investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly contracted by the project contractor to transport the items from the Agenda 111 project site to Tema.
The suspects are currently in custody assisting with investigations.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to get the said contractor arrested to face justice. Suspects arrested so far in connection with the post-election disturbances are 110.
