President-elect John Mahama has reaffirmed the resilience and stability of Ghana’s democracy in the wake of the recent general elections.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, 11 December, following his meeting with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House in Accra, he underscored the significance of the successful electoral process and the need for bipartisan collaboration to further enhance Ghana’s democratic credentials.
“Democracy and Ghana are the winners following the electoral process. Despite all the anxieties people had ahead of the election and voting day, Ghana has done it again,” he wrote.
He further expressed confidence in the nation’s democratic future, adding, “We can be sure that our democracy is safe, and by working together across bipartisan lines, we can continue to deepen and consolidate it.”
