Former Ghanaian youth international Matthew Anim Cudjoe scored his second goal in the Israeli Premier League over the weekend.
The 21-year-old scored Bnei Sakhnin's only goal of the game in the encounter against Maccabi Petah Tikva on Saturday.
Anim Cudjoe was handed his seventh start of the season in the fixture as his side chased a first win after four winless games in the top flight.
After a goalless score in the opening half of the game, it was Sakhnin who struck first in the 72nd minute to break the deadlock.
The Ghanaian pounced on a loose ball just outside the penalty box before cutting onto his left and unleashing a stunning strike that beat the goalkeeper.
The goal gave Sakhnin a deserving lead despite playing with 10 men after Kevin Soni was sent off in the first half. Having scored the opening goal, Anim Cudjoe was taken off in the 84th minute after picking up an injury.
The lead, however, lasted 14 minutes as the home side grabbed the equaliser with four minutes away from the final whistle.
The game ended 1-1 with the two teams sharing the spoils.
Anim Cudjoe finished the game as the Man of the Match having had three shots on target and created one chance during his time on the field.
His goal also means he has two goals and one assist in the league from eight matches since joining the club in October 2024.
