The Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) was abuzz with joy and festive cheer on Friday, December 20, as patrons gathered for the much-anticipated MTN Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols.
The night was a remarkable blend of soulful music, stirring readings, and exhilarating performances that left attendees enthralled.
The evening began on a heavenly note with the Harmonious Chorale, whose angelic voices and impeccable harmonies set the tone for an unforgettable night.

Their performance not only captivated the audience but also reminded everyone of the true essence of Christmas.
As patrons enjoyed the event, they were treated to numerous gifts and giveaways via the MyMTN MoMo app, further adding to the festive spirit.
The Nine Lessons began with Adwoa Wiafe, MTN’s Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer, delivering the first reading from Genesis 3:8-15. Her eloquence set a reflective tone, underscoring the hope of redemption.

Deborah Asmah, Co-founder and CMO of Npontu Technologies Limited, followed with the second reading, Genesis 22:15-16, reminding everyone of God’s promises fulfilled through faith.
Other notable readings included contributions from prominent figures such as George Sarpong, Magnus Cofie, Anita Dabi, Ivy Enyonam Adjimah, and Kenneth Ashigbey, each of whom delivered the Word with grace and reverence.

The night also featured show-stopping performances that blended tradition with innovation.
The ever-sensational Kwan Pa Band mesmerised the crowd with their self-created Christmas songs, skillfully infused with vibrant Ghanaian rhythms and instruments.

Ghanaian songstress Efya graced the stage, her Afrocentric melodies weaving a spellbinding tapestry that captivated all. The audience could not help but sway to her soothing voice, which brought warmth to the festive air.
Adding a dynamic flair to the event, Dancegod Lloyd and his crew lit up the stage with an electrifying dance performance that kept everyone on their feet.

The “Galdem Sugar Boy,” KiDi, brought the house down with his sensational performance, delivering a string of hits that had the audience singing and dancing along. His energy and talent were infectious, setting the stage alight with excitement.

In a deeply spiritual moment, gospel sensation Joe Mettle led a heartfelt ministration that transported the audience into a space of worship and reflection. His powerful vocals and moving lyrics reminded everyone of the transformative power of faith.

Dr. Joyce Aryee delivered an uplifting word of exaltation, urging attendees to embrace the profound lesson of Christmas: the Word becoming flesh and dwelling among us.
Her message encouraged the audience to receive the gift of salvation, allow Jesus to transform their lives, and share the light of God’s presence with others.

The night concluded with Perez Muzik, whose spirit-filled performance left a lasting impression on the audience. His music stirred hearts, reminding everyone of the joy and hope that Christmas brings.
