Optimal International Media Network Limited (the new OMD brand in Ghana) has appointed Taniya Mondal as its first-ever Managing Director.
The company is set to boost agility, talent, and innovation through technology to enhance value for existing and prospective clients.
The Board of Directors of Optimal International Media Network has confirmed the appointment of Mrs. Taniya Mondal, effective 1 December 2024.
The new entity Optimal International Media Network will harness cutting-edge technology to drive growth and innovation while boosting investments into the media strategy, planning, and buying industry in Ghana.
Taniya will lead the new entity as its first Managing Director. Optimal OMD underscores a commitment to retaining existing jobs while continuing to prioritize people, clients, and partners.
It also strengthens capabilities in technology, tools, and other key areas, thereby driving growth and economic prosperity.
The Regional Chief Executive Officer of Omnicom Media Group West & Central Africa (OMG WeCA), Alaba Fadero, announced Taniya's appointment in Accra.
According to Mr. Fadero, "Our commitment to investing in our people, technology, and capabilities remains unwavering. Taniya's appointment results from a careful succession planning and talent development program.
"She is expected to maintain OMD's industry leadership and drive our company's growth strategy across the three critical global pillars of Client, People, and Capability.

Taniya has over 16 years of rich experience across various categories, including telecom, beverages, and fast-moving consumer goods.
She has also had rich experience in Marketing, Project Management, People Compliance, Corporate governance, and Business Development.
She holds a Master's degree in science and an MBA in International Business from the Indian Institute of Management.
She is passionate about Diversity and is committed to an inclusive work culture.
