The former president of the Association of Ghana Industries, Prince Kofi Kludjeson, says the country is calm and free of disturbances because the public has confidence in the new president and his appointees.
He expressed his view, saying, “I am very, very impressed, and most people are. The country is very calm because of the credibility of the president and, of course, the credibility of those who are with him,” h said on JoyNews' AM Show on Wednesday, with Benjamin Akakpo.
He added, “Humility is key. He is trying to transform Ghana and reset the country with the 24-hour economy. What I see is that if he stays on track, things will transform and develop.”
Regarding the president’s first two weeks in office and his plans moving forward, Mr Kludjeson expressed satisfaction, stating, “So far, I think it is extremely good. Let’s continue and hope that they stay on track.”
He also prayed for the necessary support for President Mahama’s government, both from the local and international communities.
Mr Mahama won the 2024 elections amid the economic hardships many Ghanaians are facing. He promised to reset the country through his 24-hour economy policy, empower small and medium-scale enterprises, and enhance the nation’s education sector.
