The Public Sector Workers Union has congratulated Ing Edward Ekow Obeng Kenzo on his appointment as the new Acting Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority (VRA).
The Public Service Workers Union (PSWU) of TUC is the mother labour group which has members from all across the public energy and utility service companies in Ghana.
The labour union applauded President John Mahama’s choice of Edward Obeng Kenzo who has risen through the ranks at VRA to now be at the helm of affairs.
“Considering your credentials and vast experience, your employees who are also members of our Union couldn't have gotten any better Chief Executive than you” the message read.
The union also pointed out their expectation of the new leader that VRA’s goals will be best achieved through the productivity of the workforce, good cooperation with management and a harmonious industrial atmosphere.
Since his appointment, Ing. Obeng-Kenzo has received congratulations from numerous groups both within and outside the VRA.
They include but are not limited to the Society of Volta River Authority Engineers (SOVRAE), College of Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Project Management Institute, Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management as well as staff of VRA.
