The head coach of the Ghana senior women’s team, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, has emphasized that his team needs time to adapt to his new system.
The Black Queens are gearing up to face the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco on Friday in Casablanca, as part of preparations for this year’s Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Bjorkegen acknowledges that adapting to his new system will take time, but he’s pleased with the progress the team is making.
"The team has many good people, both in the staff and among the players. While there are challenges with new systems and limited training sessions, we’re making progress step by step," he said.
"We’re building a positive team culture, and I’m excited to work with this group. Adapting to new systems takes time, and we can’t expect players to understand everything in just a few training sessions."
Ghana will face Morocco at 17:00 GMT at the Père Jégo Stadium in Casablanca on Friday before locking horns with AS FAR Rabat three days later
