Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Zubairu is on red hot form for his club side FK Partizan and is pushing for a Black Stars call-up.
The former King Faisal forward was on the score sheet in Partizan’s 4-1 victory over Tekstilac Odzaci in round 26 of the Serbian Super League.
Nemanja Nikolic, with brace and goals from Ibrahim Zubairu and Bibras Natcho, ensured a dominant win that kept Partizan firmly in second place with 53 points.
Zubairu has been in sensational form this season, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in 23 appearances, making him one of the top-performing Ghanaian players abroad.
His electric pace and excellent finish in front of goal as a winger could put him in contention for a spot in the Black Stars squad as Ghana prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March 2025.
As pressures mount on Otto Addo after failing to qualify Ghana for the Africa Cup of Nations in more than a decade, and with Zubairu's current form, he could be a valuable addition to Addo's squad as they face Chad and Madagascar on March 21 and 24 respectively.
