In the vibrant world of football, young talents often draw inspiration from legendary figures who have left an indelible mark on the sport.
For Prince Kwabena Adu, the dynamic Ghanaian striker of Viktoria Plzeň, two iconic goal-scorers have been instrumental in shaping his career and playing style: the Uruguayan maestro Luis Suarez and Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan.
In an interview with Flashscore, Adu shared his admiration for these footballing icons and how they have influenced his approach to the game.
"Growing up I watched Luis Suarez and Asamoah Gyan. You know Gyan is a Ghanaian legend who did a lot for our national team," Adu revealed.
Adu's affinity for Suarez is particularly strong, as he models his game after the Uruguayan's relentless drive and skill. "My style is very similar to Luis Suarez, so I watch his videos a lot. The way Suarez scores, runs, his movement, with and without the ball, and off the pitch. I like everything about him and really learn a lot from him," he added.
For this 21-year-old Ghanaian forward, Suarez's dedication and passion have been a lifelong inspiration. "The way he plays and gives his all is the reason why he succeeds everywhere he goes. Growing up, I loved watching him and I even still watch him in the MLS."

Currently, Adu is making significant strides in European football with Viktoria Plzeň, having scored 10 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions this season. As he prepares to face Lazio in the Europa League Round of 16, his admiration for Suarez and Gyan continues to fuel his ambition and drive to succeed at the highest level.
