Ghanaian Afrobeat sensation Dymo, born Micheal Baah Kwarteng, is gearing up to drop his much-awaited EP titled Triumph & Vibes in July.
The project features exciting collaborations with Ahkan, formerly of Ruff n Smooth, and Ecool from Davido’s 30 Billion Gang, promising a fusion of vibrant Afrobeat sounds and global appeal.
Following the release, Dymo will embark on a worldwide tour to promote the EP, with stops in Ghana, Canada, Europe, the USA, and other countries. This tour marks a significant milestone in Dymo’s career as he continues to solidify his presence on the international music scene.
Dymo’s musical journey began in the early 2010s as part of the group Sugar & Spice, where he gained recognition for hits like Ye Be Sa Azonto and Right Mood. After going solo in 2014 under the name 5stat, he rebranded to Dymo in 2022, embracing a fresh and dynamic approach to Afrobeat.
Over the years, he has collaborated with top artists such as Ecool, Kwasi, and Royal Brown, while also delivering memorable performances in Kenya and beyond.
With Triumph & Vibes, Dymo aims to push boundaries and showcase his evolution as an artist. The EP blends traditional Afrobeat rhythms with modern influences, reflecting his commitment to innovation and creativity.
