The Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Krobea Asante, has called on members of the Tertiary Students Confederacy of the NPP (TESCON), the party’s intellectual wing, to enhance their communication strategies to promote the party’s ideals and achievements.
Speaking at the UG TESCON Alumni Connect and Freshers’ Orientation held at the Legon City Campus and the Legon Main Campus, Asante highlighted the critical role of communication in politics. He encouraged TESCON members to utilise modern media platforms to publicise the party’s commendable track record and successes.
Krobea further advised members to engage with students across campus, particularly first-year students, to help them understand and appreciate the NPP’s vision and policies.

He commended the students for their dedication, despite the disappointment of the 2024 election results.
Other distinguished guests at the event included Hon. Asenso Boakye, founder of TESCON and MP for Bantama; Madam Akosua Manu, former NPP 2024 Adenta parliamentary aspirant and former Deputy CEO of the National Youth Authority; and the Patron of UG TESCON.

In his concluding remarks, Krobea urged TESCON members to capitalise on digital media to reinforce the party’s messaging.
He reassured them that with a more vigorous communication strategy, the party would be well-positioned for the 2028 elections.
The event formed part of efforts to mobilise support and energise the party’s grassroots ahead of the next general election.
Krobea’s message was clear: the time for action is now, and every TESCON member has a crucial role to play in shaping the NPP’s future.
As a demonstration of his commitment to empowering the youth and advancing the party’s agenda, Krobea Asante made a financial contribution—an undisclosed sum—to support TESCON’s activities on campus.
The UG TESCON Alumni Connect and Freshers’ Orientation was a resounding success, with many students expressing enthusiasm and a renewed commitment to the party’s cause.
