Heart of Lions missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Asante Kotoko after playing out a 1-1 draw with the Porcupines in the Ghana Premier League at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
The hosts dominated proceedings, especially in the first half, with several opportunities.
The Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare had to be alert to make a crucial save from Nana Oppong's closest attempt, to keep the scoreline goalless.
However, against the run of play, the Porcupines took advantage with a stunning strike just on the stroke of halftime by Justice Blay.
But Lions quickly equalised just two minutes into the second half as Ali Fawzi found the net with a header.
Both sides came close to securing victory, with Albert Amoah creating a chance from nowhere, but his effort was off target, while Kwesi Pong's audacious effort went over the bar.
Kotoko remain top of the league standings with 46 points and face Bechem United in their next fixture.
Meanwhile, Lions, who stay in third with 41 points, lock horns with Berekum Chelsea.
