The Ghana Chamber of Mines has commended the government for reaching an agreement aimed at resolving the impasse involving Adamus Resources Limited.

The Chamber said the agreement to implement a 12-month roadmap to revive the mine, supported by a six-member joint management team, represented a significant step towards restoring operations at the mining company.

In a statement issued on Friday, August 21, 2026, the Chamber said the collaborative approach demonstrated a commitment to dialogue, investor confidence and the preservation of productive mining assets.

The Chamber described Adamus Resources as one of Ghana's few indigenous large-scale mining operations and said its successful revival was important to protecting jobs, sustaining local businesses and host communities, and preserving the mine's contribution to government revenue and the wider mining value chain.

It commended the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and the leadership of the Minerals Commission for their efforts to reach what it described as a practical way forward.

The Chamber also acknowledged Adamus Resources Limited for its constructive engagement in efforts to resolve the dispute.

It urged all parties to remain committed to transparency and accountability and to implement the agreed roadmap, including addressing outstanding liabilities and securing the investment required to ensure the mine's sustainable operation.

“The Ghana Chamber of Mines remains ready to support efforts that protect investments and jobs, promote responsible local participation and strengthen the long-term contribution of mining to Ghana's development,” the statement said.

The Chamber said the resolution of the impasse and the sustainable revival of the mine would be important not only to Adamus Resources but also to workers, host communities, local businesses and the wider mining value chain.
