The main awards ceremony of the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards will not be held on 3rd May 2025 as earlier advertised.
The organisers of the awards, Charterhouse Productions, have announced that the new date for the ceremony is May 10, 2025.
The much-anticipated event will be held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.
According to a statement released by the organisers, "this change, regrettably, affects the calendar of activities leading to the main awards ceremony." This means the following events will take place on their new dates: - Master Class: Thursday, 8th May 2025 - Pre-Party: Friday, 9th May 2025.
In the meantime, voting lines are now open for the Telecel Ghana Music Awards. Fans can vote for their favorite artistes by dialing *1767# and submitting the artiste's code, then following the prompts. Alternatively, fans can vote for free at www.GhanaMusicAwards.com.
So far, there have been fierce debates and conversations about who the potential winners of the various categories are, particularly the Artist of the Year. Apart from music fans and social media influencers engaging in these debates, some artists have employed public relations personnel to help project their work to the public.
Winners of the popularity categories of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards are adjudged by three voting blocks: Board, Academy and Public, while the technical categories are catered for by the Board and Academy.
The 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards will recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements in the Ghanaian music industry, featuring high-fashion statements on the red carpet, live performances from the industry's most talented artistes, and awards presentations to the most deserving artistes.
