Asanska Football Club emerged winners of the maiden edition of the Stayter Cup which happened in Accra earlier this week.
One trophy. Seven teams. But at the end of it all, there could only be one winner for the tournament, which lasted three days.
Asanska, Great Corinthians Football Club, Progen Football Club, Stayter Futbol Club, KIS Academy and Mountaineers Football Club were the clubs involved in the maiden edition of the competition.
In the final of the inaugural Stayter Cup, Asanska FC came up on top after defeating Siktad FC.
Two second-half goals from the Oyibi-based side sealed a memorable victory over their Wenchi-based opponents, following a pulsating first half.

The head coaches of both teams expressed satisfaction with the initiative, which gave hundreds of players the opportunity to be scouted.
The Stayter Cup was organised by the Stayter Foundation and HC Talent Group, led by Kwasi Siaw.
Organisers say they are pleased with how the maiden edition turned out, and they’re already looking ahead to making the next one even better.
Scouts from France, England, and Egypt were in attendance, witnessing first-hand the rich vein of talent Ghana has to offer.
