Samuel Atta Kumi was the hero for Gold Stars as his 96th-minute penalty sealed a dramatic 1-0 victory over Medeama SC at the Duns Park.
Frimpong Manso’s side who return to the top of the league table after Kotoko’s slip up last time around, were looking to consolidate their lead, and had massive chances to kill off the game.
Despite missing an earlier spot kick and striking the crossbar, the Miners’ relentless pressure paid off in stoppage time, allowing them to maintain their lead at the top of the table with 53 points.
Medeama, who put up a resilient fight, remain in 7th with 41 points.
