The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has announced a temporary disruption in gas supply from the Jubilee Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel to the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant following a technical issue that occurred on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
According to a statement issued on May 11, the incident occurred at approximately 4:30 PM and involved a fault that briefly affected gas export operations.
GNPC said efforts are underway to identify the root cause of the problem and implement corrective measures to ensure safe and prompt restoration of the gas supply.
"The operator is making every effort to identify the root cause of the problem, implement the necessary corrective measures, and restore gas supply to the Atuabo GPP as quickly and safely as possible," the statement read.
Technical teams from the relevant parties are actively collaborating to resolve the issue.
Importantly, officials have reassured the public that oil production on the Jubilee FPSO remains unaffected and is continuing without interruption.
“We wish to assure the public that the oil production system on the FPSO remains unaffected and continues to operate steadily,” the release added.
The management expressed gratitude for the public’s patience and understanding during the ongoing technical resolution.
