Princess Lalla Hasnaa, President of the Royal Theatre of Rabat Foundation, chaired the Foundation’s first Board of Directors meeting on Thursday.
She was accompanied by Brigitte Macron, spouse of the French President.
The Royal Theatre of Rabat is a product of King Mohammed VI’s enlightened vision and a tangible expression of the Sovereign’s continued dedication to the arts and culture.
The Foundation’s Board of Directors brings together distinguished personalities from diverse geographical, cultural, and professional backgrounds.
In line with the High Royal Guidelines, the Board is tasked with establishing and enriching a strategic vision for the institution.
Among its members are Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al-Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, and Brigitte Macron.
Other members include Othman Benjelloun, Michael Zaoui, Makhtar Diop, Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, Gad Elmaleh, Michel Canesi, Hélène Mercier-Arnault, Farid Bensaïd, and Mohamed Yacoubi.
The Royal Theatre aims to foster a modern cultural dynamic in Morocco.
It celebrates the richness of Morocco’s cultural diversity and reflects the Kingdom’s plural identity on the global stage.
This prestigious institution is a testament to His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s enduring support for the arts, culture, and national heritage.
It embodies the Sovereign’s determination to place culture at the core of Morocco’s human, economic, and social development.
In alignment with the royal vision, which promotes both grassroots and large-scale cultural initiatives, the Royal Theatre is set to become a platform and incubator for young talent driving the country’s cultural renaissance.
