Professor Jacob K. Agbenorhevi of the Department of Food Science and Technology at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has been named a recipient of the Springer Nature Editor of Distinction Awards 2025, receiving both the Editorial Contribution Award and the Author Service Award for his exemplary work with the journal Food Biophysics.
In an official communication from Springer Nature, the global research publisher lauded Professor Agbenorhevi for his "tireless efforts in developing your journal’s community, supporting your authors and advocating for your communities." His contributions were described as "invaluable in advancing discovery."
The Editorial Contribution Award recognises Professor Agbenorhevi’s rigorous assessment of submissions and his meticulous management of the peer review process, ensuring scientific integrity and the accuracy of published work. The Author Service Award highlights his dedication to improving the experience of authors by making the peer review process efficient, constructive, and fair.
