Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani Gold Stars, Akwasi Adu, has confirmed that head coach Frimpong Manso will remain at the helm following the club’s historic Ghana Premier League triumph.
GoldStars capped off a remarkable season in dominant fashion, dismantling relegated Accra Lions 4-0 on the final day to clinch their first-ever league title. They finished the campaign with 63 points, with 18 wins, 9 draws and 7 losses across 34 matches.
Adu, in an interview with Citi Sports, made it clear that Manso and his backroom staff will continue to lead the team.
“Every team wants a coach who delivers, and Frimpong Manso has done exactly that,” Adu said.
“Considering that we joined the top flight just four years ago, his achievement this season is unmatched. His results speak louder than any of his predecessors, and his continuity is not in doubt.”
Adu also stressed the club’s commitment to stability, both on and off the pitch, adding that consistency in technical leadership is a key part of their philosophy.
“Unless the coach himself decides to take on a new challenge, there’s no reason to make changes,” he stated.
“At Bibiani Gold Stars, we don’t believe in frequently changing our technical team. We’ve seen that long-term coaches tend to bring out the best in their clubs.”
