Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey may be on his way out of North London at the expiration of his contract.
The 32-year-old Ghanaian international and his representatives have been locked in negotiations with Arsenal for months, ostensibly to agree fresh terms over a new contract.
However, Italian football reporter Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the negotiations have hit a snag.
Romano, who specialises in European football transfer news, also disclosed that there is now a "concrete chances to part ways in the upcoming days. Thomas would be available as a free agent."
Last season, Partey made 35 appearances out of 38 Premier League matches and 12 Champions League appearances out of 16 matches for Arsenal.
By the time the season was over, the Black Stars midfielder had made 52 appearances across all competitions.
He was a key cog for Arsenal, who finished second in the Premier League and made the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League. The Gunners lost to eventual winners, Paris Saint-Germain.
Partey's current contract runs out on June 30, 2024.
