Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has urged the Assemblée Parlementaire de la Francophonie (APF) to resolve internal challenges through established mechanisms and institutional processes.
He emphasised that doing so will reinforce the unity and effectiveness of the organisation.
He made the call when delivering his remarks at the 50th Session of the APF. Mr. Bagbin called on the assembly to remain steadfast in upholding its foundational values, particularly during periods of internal disagreement.
He highlighted the importance of transparency, mutual respect, and adherence to democratic principles as essential elements in maintaining the credibility and relevance of the APF.

Speaker Bagbin commended the APF for its ongoing efforts in promoting peace, dialogue, and multilateral cooperation across member states.
He reaffirmed Ghana’s unwavering commitment to supporting the advancement of Francophone values and parliamentary diplomacy.
The 50th Session of the APF brought together parliamentary representatives from Francophone countries to deliberate on pressing issues affecting the community and to foster deeper collaboration across national legislatures.
