The Founding President of the UP Tradition Institute, Dr Razak Kojo Opoku, has cast doubt on the credibility of a new poll by Global Info Analytics, which suggests that former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is leading in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming internal contest.
The survey shows Dr Bawumia commanding 52% support among NPP delegates ahead of the party’s presidential primaries slated for January 2026, giving him a decisive edge over his rivals.

His closest challenger, former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, trails far behind with 17%.
Speaking on JoyNews’ The Pulse on Friday, shortly after the report was released, Dr Opoku argued that the figures presented by the research firm were inconsistent and did not tally.
"Sincerely, I doubt the credibility, integrity of the data that was presented to us by Global Info Analytics," he said on the show, adding that, despite the research firm's track record, "It doesn't mean that subsequently, all your research will be on point."
He maintained that such discrepancies raise questions about the reliability of the outcome.
"They initially gave three of the aspirants 0 per cent, when you add the total stand it stands at 92.7 per cent, so where is the 3%? ..... so there is a kind of inconsistency regarding the chat that was presented to us."
