The female Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Senior High School student seen in a viral video with an assistant headmaster in a compromising situation has broken her silence on her age.
Speaking to Adom News reporter Kwadwo Obeng Mireku, she emphasised that she is 19 years old and not 13 as has been speculated.
"Just tell them I am 19 years old; I was born on July 21, 2006. I’m not 13 years old," she said.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) on Monday removed from office the Assistant Headmaster (Academic) of KNUST SHS, Charles Akwasi Aidoo, after a viral video showed him fondling the female student.
As investigations continue, the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, in a press statement, stated that the student in the viral video was 13 years old and has called for the arrest of the assistant headmaster.
