It was a sea of pink at the Achimota Golf Club as the venue hosted the 2025 Pink Cup Tournament, a day where golf swung for a cause that touches countless lives.
The annual event, organized by the Ladies Section of the Achimota Golf Club, continues to blend sport, advocacy, and community action.
This year’s edition was about more than just fairways and birdies; it was a powerful reminder of hope, health, and humanity.
The goal was to use the spirit of golf to raise awareness about breast cancer, encourage early detection, and support women bravely fighting the disease.
The event brought together golfers from across the country, with participants and supporters wearing pink, the global symbol of unity and hope in the fight against breast cancer.
“It's been fantastic, great and one of the best tournaments that we've ever organized," Lady Captain for Achimota Golf Club Kous Louages Mang said.

"Everything we got today is for breast cancer and thanks to everyone who came to support this event."
This year’s tournament received major backing from Allstar Insurance Brokers, whose generosity and personal connection to the cause made a significant impact.
Through their support, a total of 50,000 Ghana cedis was raised to be donated to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, and 10,000 Ghana cedis to Achimota Hospital, for cancer patients in need.
“One of the activities we wanted to do was to support cancer awareness,” Head of Account for Allstar Insurance Brokers Ama Anowa Thompson said.
"It has [been worth it]. Coming here and hearing the stories of the survivors, we thought it's a good cause that we might do again next year.
On the course, there were outstanding performances from several golfers, including Philip Ayensu of Achimota Golf Club and Maame Afua Ayensu, who finished third in the ladies’ category.
The 2025 Pink Cup once again proved that when passion meets purpose, sport can become a powerful tool for change.
