The 2025 Ghana Association of Savings and Loans Companies (GHASALC) Industry Games has been officially launched at the Bayport Savings and Loans Head Office in Dzorwulu.
This year’s event, themed “Building Bonds Beyond Banking,” marks the fifth edition of the annual games and is scheduled to take place at the El Wak Sports Stadium on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
Speaking at the media launch, the Managing Director of Bayport Savings and Loans, Akwasi Aboagye, underscored the importance of employee well-being and the role of the games in promoting health within the industry.
“These games are about healthy living and stress relief, and a healthy workforce is not a luxury but a strategic necessity,” he said.
The Chief Executive Officer of GHASALC, Tweneboah Kodua Boakye, also shared details about participation and the range of sporting disciplines lined up for this year’s competition.
According to him, all 26 savings and loans companies and 11 finance houses will participate in the 2025 edition.
“We have 26 savings and loans companies and 11 finance houses registered to participate, and games for the event include volleyball, soccer, among others,” he stated.
The GHASALC Industry Games continue to serve as a platform for fostering camaraderie, teamwork and networking among players in Ghana’s savings and loans sector.
