Bechem United’s newly appointed head coach, Kobina Amissah, says he is confident that the club will remain in the Ghana Premier League after a disappointing start to the campaign.
The Hunters parted ways with former head coach Desmond Isaac-Botchway following a rough start to the season, winning only one game in eight.
Coach Amissah, who made his debut on the dugout, suffered a 3-2 defeat to Young Apostles F.C. after a late winner from Vincent Mobilla.
Bechem United currently sit 16th on the table, inside the relegation zone.
“I can say the league is still young,” Amissah said.
“We have about 25 matches to go, so we have more time. We are going to bounce back strongly and make sure we do the right things.
“We have to concentrate and make sure we play according to the instructions we gave them.”
Bechem will face sixth-placed Samartex next at home on Sunday, November 16, in what will be an important first home game for the newly appointed coach.
