The CEO of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, has paid a courtesy visit to former President John Agyekum Kufuor at his Peduase residence as part of preparations for the Authority’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
Mr Tameklo used the visit to officially inform the former President about the milestone event and to acknowledge his pivotal role in establishing the NPA two decades ago.
He praised Mr Kufuor’s leadership and vision, noting that the Authority continues to drive efficiency, transparency, and consumer protection in Ghana’s petroleum downstream sector.
He also extended an official invitation for the former President to join the anniversary celebrations.
Former President Kufuor expressed appreciation for the recognition and accepted the invitation. He encouraged the NPA Chief Executive to uphold integrity and professionalism as he steers the Authority’s mandate.
Mr. Tameklo was accompanied by a delegation from the NPA, including Joseph Awan, Director of Risk and Chairman of the Planning Committee; Maria Oquaye, Director of Corporate Affairs; and Racheal Naa Atswei Nee-Okpey, Head of Communications.
Others were Genevieve Bissue, Head of Protocol and Logistics; Emmanuel Mensah Hanson, Executive Assistant; and Maxwell Boakye, Special Aide to the Chief Executive.
