The Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Africa Awards 2025 descended upon Accra last night in a spectacular showcase of African talent, style, and achievement.
While the awards celebrate distinguished men across the continent, the event itself was a dazzling affair where African cinema icons Adjetey Annang, Kalsoume Sinare, Bucci Franklin and Roselyn Ngissah headlined a star-studded cohort that defined the evening’s glamour, alongside figures like Andrew Tandoh, Abeiku Santana and celebrated businessman Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong.
The 10th edition of the EMY Africa Awards was held at the plush Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) and was themed "Celebrating the Legacy", drawing over 800 guests from business, politics, and the arts across Africa and the diaspora.
Ghanaian screen legends captivated the red carpet, which stretched over 150 feet and was broadcast live across major digital platforms, including Joy Prime.
The EMY Africa Awards are not merely an entertainment event; they serve as a major economic and networking platform.
The awards recognise distinguished men and influential women whose achievements inspire progress in various sectors, including business, culture, sports, public service, and the creative industries.
Since its inception in 2016, the EMY Africa Awards has grown to become one of the continent's most prestigious ceremonies.
The 2025 edition, presented in partnership with UNESCO, Ghana's Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, and the Diaspora Affairs Office, reinforces the awards' mission of pan-African collaboration.
