In the latest episode of EduTalk, Ghana’s flagship education podcast hosted by the esteemed broadcaster Emefa Apawu, the Technical Advisor to the Minister of Education, Professor George K. T. Oduro, offered strategic insights into the recently concluded 2025 National Education Forum.
In the wide-ranging conversation, Professor Oduro highlighted the forum’s central mandate: to forge a unified national agenda capable of anticipating future workforce demands while strengthening the foundations of pre-tertiary and tertiary education.
He underscored the ministry’s commitment to collaborative policy design, emphasising that the forum served as a vital platform for stakeholders from across the country to interrogate prevailing challenges and propose forward-looking solutions.
The discussion reinforced the ministry’s drive towards a more resilient, learner-centred system—one that aligns educational outcomes with national development aspirations and the evolving global knowledge economy.
He also reflected on the implementation of the Free Senior High School policy, outlining its achievements, the operational hurdles encountered, and the strategic adjustments needed to sustain and refine the initiative in the years ahead.
