The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the release of all outstanding feeding grants due to special schools and senior high schools across the country.
According to GES, the funds cover multiple academic terms and are intended to support the smooth operation of school feeding programmes.
In a statement issued on Friday, December 12, management confirmed that the outstanding feeding grant for all special schools, spanning the 3rd term of the 2024/2025 academic year and the 1st term of the 2025/2026 academic year, has now been fully disbursed.
GES further indicated that it has also cleared all arrears relating to perishable supplies owed to senior high schools (SHS) and senior high technical Schools (SHTS) for the period July 29 to October 17, 2025.
"Additionally, management has released all outstanding perishables owed to senior high schools (SHS) and senior high technical Schools (SHTS) for the period 29th July to 17th October 2025."
According to the release, every affected institution has now had its funds successfully transferred into its respective account, ensuring schools can continue providing meals and related services without disruption.

The service has reminded Heads of Special Schools, SHSs and SHTSs to submit official receipts acknowledging receipt of the funds.
"Heads of Special Schools, SHS, and SHTS are reminded to submit official receipts acknowledging the funds received to the Director-General through their respective Regional Accountants," the statement read.
These are to be forwarded to the Director-General through the respective Regional Accountants as part of accountability and monitoring procedures.
GES expressed appreciation for the cooperation of school heads and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting effective teaching, learning and inclusive education nationwide.
“Management counts on the cooperation of all Heads and reiterates its continued commitment to supporting effective teaching, learning, and inclusive education across the country,” the statement concluded.
