Aduana F.C. winger Mezack Afriyie has been released from the hospital, less than 24 hours after suffering a head injury.
The incident occurred when Afriyie and a Young Apostles player inadvertently crashed heads in an aerial tussle in the 43rd minute of Sunday's Ghana Premier League match.
Afriyie was immediately carried in an ambulance to the Wenchi Methodist Hospital for emergency care.
On Monday morning, a social media post by the club confirmed that the winger was in stable condition and had been discharged from the hospital.
Our forward, Mizack Afriyie was treated and discharged at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital last night. We await results of a CT scan to see if there are any other issues. We would like to thank the staff of the hospital for their support…. https://t.co/2xWbAuV4KB

Although stable, it is not clear whether Afriyie will be part of the Aduana squad for this weekend’s league matches against Vision F.C. on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
Aduana F.C. are third on the league table with 28 points after the stalemate with Young Apostles.
